Nemo Room
The Nemo Room
                             This is a busy room.
a structured classroom setting based on weekly themes that
are correlated with the Mid-continent Public libraries Story
time themes.

This is also the room that we work on
potty training.  We
have to master this to move up to the Jellybean class!

In the Nemo Room the children begin  "Parallel Play". This
kind of play involves two or more children in the same room.
They are interested in the same toys and both see the toy as
belonging to them. They maybe in the same area and play
with similar toys, but they do not play together. They are
playing along side each other simply because they are in the
same area.  This can explain why many people call this the
terrible twos and threes!
We spend a lot of time in the Nemo Room working on Social
and Psychological growth and development many times with
limited academics but by the time the children are ready to
move over to the jellybean room they have advanced into
more organized play and are ready to engage in a more
academically enhanced creative curriculum.
If I give it to you and change my mind later, it's mine.
If I can take it away from you, it's mine.
If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
If it's mine it will never belong to anyone else no matter what.
If we are building something together, all the pieces are mine.
If it looks like mine, it's mine.
